Hailing from the eastern section of the Irastarum mountains, the Atrum Clan is composed of a band of Dark Element users, who abandoned their lives as nomads to settle in the Mountains. They started out living in caves, where they adapted to the environment, and gained the ability to see in complete darkness. Also, they gained the ability to manipulate shadows, giving them physical form. Of course, different individuals with different levels of capability can execute different types of techniques, however the basic abilities of the Atrum are as aforementioned. They’ve moved from the caves and into small villages as of late, and as they become more established, they are expanding their existence, and thus, knowledge of such. The main exports of Atrum are rare Jems and Diamonds found in the caves they’ve inhabited, and learned well. They also gain income through the capturing and taming of animals found in the wild of the mountains and nearby forests. Though, they haven’t been known to capture larger animals such as Dragons. They do occasionally cooperate with Incendia on big missions like that. Due to lack of pliable land, they import fruits and vegetables from Incendia and Siram. They live a simple life, with no need for the technology of Tenkuu. Recently meeting with a small band of exiles, They found a leader in Gersham, who vowed to deliver the clan out of the shadows of the other clans, and into the light to share the world with them.

Gersham attempted to withdraw his hand before Zaria could slap it, however, his reaction time was unusually slow, and she still managed to slap his fingers. Did she really have this effect on him? Enough to make him drop his guard? "I don't pinch that hard." He said with a laugh. Her confession was warming, for some reason. more than he expected. "I'm glad too. I wouldn't want to wake up from this day." He couldn't bear to wake up, and realize that he had never seen that smile. It would be torture. He could see the pain on her face as she imagined what the process must have been like. He nodded his head as she asked. "If you can imagine what it feels like to be branded, it was like that, only the feeling goes much deeper than just the skin. It literally burns into your soul." His smile faded as he explained. Obviously, it wasn't a fun memory. "My dad..." H looked upward as he thought of his fathers marking. "My dad has a marking of the same nature, but it isn't nearly as extravagant. He only has two crosses on the backs of his palms." After the run-in with Syn and Ici, he walked alongside her for quite some time until they finally reached the borders of the village. "Welcome to Atrum" He told her. It was a quiet little town. Unknown to most of Daratan. But that would all be changing soon

She blushed at him, and just how lovely he was, she was going to miss him a lot if he were a dream, and she would never see him again, unless in her dreams. She would want to leave all of the time to sleep. His smile was bright, and happy. As well as his laugh, deep and soothing from the base of his trachea up escaping his lips. She watched his Adam's apple as it moved when he laughed. She giggled, and she bit on her lip, and nuzzled into his neck a little bit. Her flirting showing like a white dot on a black sheet of paper. "And well, you pinched -me- hard. Look, look! It's red now!" She growled at him, and showed him, a little red spot where he pinched her at. Her eyebrow twitching, with her eyes closed. She looked up at him, blinking a couple times. "Y..you're glad too? I though that it would be weird of me to say.." Her cheek burning a light red. She looked to the ground, and walked without her eyes looking at his, and kicking a bit of dirt with her bare feet. She knew excatly what it felt like to be branded, she has been before. "I know what it feels like to be branded, but...burning into your soul? I...I couldn't take that." The spot where she was marked, starting to ache and burn. She held on to it, but never looked up at him. She remembered the flasback of it. She grabbed on his wrist, her hand trembling, and her hair covering the sides of her face, following his lead. She listened to him as he spoke, and held onto him. She looked at his hands to see nothing there like his father, she wanted to meet his parents and introduce herself. When that thought was over, she looked up to see a little town, which made her smile slightly, and saw the kingdom over the town. She looked at the people, and her smile bloomed, and she started to run, pulling him after her. "C'mon! I wanna go meet your parents! Hehe!" She looked at all of the people and waved at them, telling them 'Hi' with him behind her. She ran toward to kingdom or where the clan leaders were. Excited to be somewhere new.

"I think you're stronger than you realize." He told her in response to her comment about his markings.Of course, marks as extravagant as his would be a bit much for her, but then, he wasn't normal. His markings would kill most people, but he was sure Zaria would have the strength to endure some lighter ones, like his father, and a few others in the clan possessed. He was quite surprised that she said she understood the the feeling of being branded though. He was curious, but thought it best not to ask about it though. They reached the village as she held onto him, and her excitement once more took him by surprise. She ran around like a kid in a candy store, and he laughed a bit. "You're cute..." he said quietly, as he walked behind her. There was no kingdom, or anything. Gerhsams house was pretty much identical to anyone elses, and he was leader of the clan. He pointed to it and walked toward it. "This is my house." He told her. "I just need to grab something to take to my parents, and we can go meet them." He walked into the house, leaving the door open for her to come in behind him. His house was nothing fancy. Quite simple, in fact. But it had everything he needed. He went in and picked up a book, and turned back around, to walk out the door. "Ready?"

"I am? I don't think I'm all that strong for it, and plus...that's more of a guy type deal..I'm going to get one soon though..Oh! I should get one here today. And you could be the first one here with me to get it. I don't know what I would get..but I'll get something. I don't think you ever told me what they were for, Gersham, honey." She scratched her head, and awkwardly looked at him..just kinda staring. "......Oh hello there! Sorry about that..zoned out.." She chuckled at her awkward stupidity moment, her blush not leaving. While she was walking through the city, she heard that little compliment out of the corner of her ears. She turned to him, and smile. "Thanks, Gersham. You're pretty handsome yourself." She walked into his house, and stood at the doorway, holding her hands, and wathing him walk back a fourth to gather some things for his parents. Her eyes just followed him, and his muscles flex as he walked. "Good gracious..." She said to herself about him. "I like your house. It's cute..and is this your own house? I never knew that you lived alone. You're just like I am. And it's not all fancy and stuff..but is it fancy where your parents live?" She spoke to him while he was walking, she turned around to observe the people in the city, and the city itself, turning back around to see him towering over her. She jumped and squeaked, covering her mouth "Oh my god, you scared me.! I didn't mean to squeak though. Sorry. Yes, I'm ready." She grabbed onto his wrist again, the static from her hair, making her shock him, but grabbed back on it anyway. Letting him lead the way.

]b]Her question was amusing to him. She was unaware of the strength she possessed, but then, most people were. "I'm positive." He told her. His face filled with questions, as she said she was going to get one as well. "I'm afraid they won't work on you." He said with a smile. "For you, it would be nothing more than a normal tattoo." He had already told her what they were for once before, but it seemed she had forgotten already. "These markings meld your soul with Shadow, and Dark Energies, focusing, and enhancing the ability of Shadow Manipulation. You have a nature of Water, so there would be no effects." He laughed at the thought. "But if you want, i could get the surgeon to do a set for you. If you can decide what you want, that is." By this point, she was staring, as if lost in her own world. He waved his hand before her face in an attempt to bring her back to earth. Her compliment was quite flattering, however, he did not respond verbally. He didn't know what to say. So he simply smiled, and nodded once.
While navigating his house, he realized he still wasn't wearing a shirt. He went into his room, and put on a black, sleeveless shirt, before coming back out to answer Zarias question. "You never asked if I lived alone." He said with a smile. "No one lives in luxury here. It's a simple living off the land that surrounds us." He told her. He was raised to believe that luxury was for the lazy. People should work for, and earn the things they had, and they shouldn't have excessive and unncecessary things. He laughed out loud when Zaria squeaked. "Sorry for scaring you, but the squeak has to be the cutest thing I've ever heard." He said, still laughing a bit. "Come on." He tole her, as he closed the door behind him, and lead her down the street.[/b]

"That's what I want, is just a normal tattoo. I think that it'll look good on my body. Just that one little detail that'll make you feel and look so much better. Even though....I have no idea what I should put on my skin." And when he explained it, she pushed him some. "You did -not- tell me! You just told me how much it hurt and stuff. And the sleeveless shirt doesn't...y'know...really cover up anything. I can see right through it from the side. It's like me wearing a low cut, belly shirt." She raised her eyebrows, making a point to herself. and then she sneezed..oh how embarrassing, especially with the noises she makes after them. She rubbed her temples, and sighed. "Yes, I was born with the skills of water. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. But, 'tis very useful." She gulped when he mentioned surgery. "S...Surgeon?" Her eyes widened and she shivered at the thought...scary stuff...She could probably consider living here. It's a lot calmer than her other hometown. And it was cute. "So...no one lives in big houses here, eh? That's nice..it's like..a type of equality. This makes me happy. I hate my squeak! But thanks, you sure like complimenting me. You're really sweet.." She had such a strange feeling when she was around him. All of her happiness showed when she was around him, and a smile never left her face. She really liked being around him, and this could spark into something if she were to try hard enough...

"A normal tattoo, eh?" his hand met with his chin as he nodded, as if contemplating something. "Well, what do you like?" He asked, trying to assist her in deciding what kind of tattoo she wanted. He laughed at her little mini-snap, and nodded his head. "I -did- tell you." (seriously, go back and read again, i told you.) "But it doesn't matter. That's what they're for." he looked down at his shirt and shrugged. "Oh, you dont like this shirt? No problem. I'll just change." He went back into his room, and changed into a long sleeved, white shirt, before coming back out to see if that was better for her. "Better?" As they walked down the road, he noticed her hesitation upon the word "surgeon." and nodded his head. "Yes, Atrum Markings are a serious surgery, but like i said, such a surgery couldn't be performed on you." The village was quiet as usual. It was easy to navigate for that reason. Minimal traffic "If you don't like compliments, i can always stop." He shrugged. She was cute beyond reason, and he could picture her reaction. He was laughing before she could even respond.

"Mhm. That's what I want. A normal tattoo. Something that means something, you know?" Her voice bubbly and happy towards him. " I think I'm uhm...going to get a tattoo of something, like my mother's name or something." She really loved her mother, since her father had died, she was only left with her mother and her brother, who had left them two. "Or actually..my family's name...since daddy died, and Ceril left...and my mom is still in Siram. You're the only person that has been with me while I have been gone as well. I'm sure my mother is very lonely. I'll pay her a visit later." Her voice lowered to a quiet voice, the thought of her father dying and her brother leaving coming to her mind, and depressing her, she stayed looking at the ground, and she bit on her lip, her eyes welling up, and her mouth watering about to start to crying, and sniffles.

She clears her throat And wipes her eyes, and lifts her head back up; not looking into his eyes. She clenched her jaws to keep her tears back. and walks slowler behind him. Letting go of his wrist, so she can walk quietly and slowly a fair distant behind him. She plays with her fingernails, and looks around, seeing little girls with their daddy's "Daddy..." She whispered quietly to herself, and tears fell from her eyes, srtolling down her cheeks, the flashback of his death running through her head. The huge war going on, and her watching him get killed with her and him being together. Like father daughter time. She couldn't even take it anymore. She ran up to Gersham, and hugged him tightly and stopped where she was. Her tears flowing from her eyes like a broken dam. Gripping the back of his white shirt, and getting it wet from her tears. Shew couldn't take watching it over again. She was the only one who was there to watch it. She couldn't walk thinking about it, and now that it was brought up, she was probably going to be in mourning for a couple of days. Her face buried into his chest. She cried and cried. Her head throbbing from her melt down in the middle of Atrum.

"Well then we'll come up with something great for you." He said with a smile. He tried to think of something that would be cute on her, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt that her skin should never be tampered with. However, she seemed adamant about coming up with something. Then she came up with an idea of her own. Her mothers name... It was a good idea, but then, he thought of something better. "How about instead of just getting your mothers name, you got something that represents the relationship between you and your mother?" he asked. "Like something that you and your mother shared and cared about." But then, Zaria went off on a tangent of her own, completely abandonning the concept of a tattoo. The further they walked, the closer she seemed to be to breaking into tears, and, just before they arrived at his parents house, she did just that. Grabbing onto him, she broke into tears as if she had lost everything she knew. Gersham wrapped his arms around her, and rested his forehead on the top of her head, allowing his gentle voice to reach her ears over her sobs. "It's ok." He told her. "You aren't alone." He would comfort her so long as she needed it. He didn't know why, but it was what he wanted.

Her heart was in a sink. She could've dropped to her knees if she wanted to. Her legs were getting weak anyway, as well as her arms, and her heart felt like it was sinking into her chest. It just kept playing over and over again. She wasn't going to let him go either. She needed some sort of man to hang on to. She needed a man's arms to comfort hers to take the place of her father. She was so close to him like he was her best friend in the world. Which he was, but if he weren't to go. Her and her mother wouldn't have been so close to each other. When he was alive, her and her mother butt heads almost all of the time. she couldn't leave the house without her mother yelling at her, and her having to slam the door to shush her, even sometimes that didn't work. Her mother would stay at the doorway and yell at her. She's had to walk out the house for a couple of days just to rid herself of her mother. But now, her and her mother and most likely inseparable. When she left to go off on her own in Siram, her mother was in tears. She was laughing and crying at the same time. She wanted her to go off on her own because she was old enough, but she didn't, because it was still her daughter, and the only thing left with her. And with her daughter trying to calm her down, she started to tear up herself. She kissed her mother on the cheek and left. She thought about that, and then the horrible flashback came back, and she gripped tighter on him. She could hear yelling and screaming, and the last things he said to her. Her thoughts were interrupted by a gentle voice. The sweet soothing musical tone of a man. Her crying slowly stopped while she listened to him and what he said. She tilted her head upwards to hear him more clearly. She placed her hand on the base of his jawline, and she nuzzled into his neck. Her grip loosened on his back, and it slid over his chest. His voice calmed her down rapidly. Not only was his touch magic..but his voice was as well. She was sure lucky to be with him right now, instead of on her own.

It pleased Gersham to see that Zaria was calming down. It was torture watching her cry, even if he wasn't a hundred percent sure why she was crying in the first place. He lifted her chin, forcing her to look him in the eye. He then wiped the lingering tears from her eyes, and offered her a smile. "You're too pretty to be crying. tears make it hard to see your eyes." He told her. He looked a couple houses down, and bobbed his head in that direction. "You wouldn't want to hide THOSE eyes from my parents. After all, their house is right there..." He wouldn't take her until she was ready. After all, he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. He took her by the hand, and led her to a bench along the side of the road. He took a seat, and motioned for her to sit with him, offering her an arm in support. "We can rest here until you feel well enough."

He calmed her so well, like he put her in a high of some sort. Her tears stopped, and even though her head was throbbing out of her temples to where she could feel the veins about to pop out. She could hear it pulsing and beating along with her heart rate. "When I was younger, I saw...my daddy at war...and there was a lot of yelling and blood...then, my daddy died there. The last thing he told me was that he loved me so much, and to never forget him." She teared up again, and she bit on her lip to hold them back. She nuzzled up under his chin. When her chin tilted up, her eyes moved into the ones staring into hers. She sniffled, and her eyes were red. Tears coming down them, and they puffed up. Looking like she was punched in her eyes. Her hazel eyes. She watched his fingers wipe away her tears. She gave him a slight smile in return, and her lips never left her teeth. "Really? People tell me that I'm pretty when I cry, but thank you so much for telling me that..you really calmed me down. And you have really pretty eyes as well. Mine are just hazel. And they are?! Oh my goodness...do you think that they saw me crying?" She took her arms in his, and she sat next to him. The side of her hip touching his, and she lays her head on his shoulder. She tried to rid herself of her bad headache. She closed her eyes, and she held on to his hand. Her fingers twining with his. She loosely sat them in her lap. She looked over at their house. and she observed it. she tried to see what was inside of the house, and what his parents were to look like. She had really hoped that they liked her. She didn't want to not be around him anymore. She didn't want him to be forbade to see her, even though he's a grown man. She started to purr lovingly towards him. Her other hand, Pressed to the base of his jawline. She tilted his face towards hers. their heads tilted like they were going to kiss, she looked into his eyes, the tip of her nose pressing to his. She rubbed his cheek with her thumb, and his soft skin circling around in her fingertips.

Zarias story was more than Gersham had expected. No child should be forced to see such a thing...But that was the reality of the world, he supposed. He couldn't recall Siram having ever been involved in a war, but he decided not to concern himself with such details. "You're always pretty." He said in response to her confession. "But I like it much better when you smile." He shook his head in response to her question. There was no way they just happened to be looking out their window at that moment. And even if they had, there was no way they could see that far. He had never felt more serene than in that moment. Never that close to anyone... It was hard to explain, but it was as if some of his beliefs were being washed away before his eyes. But the calm feeling would soon be replaced by another. A pounding in his heart as her hand met with his face. He instinctively wrapped his arm around her waist as his lips met with hers, pulling her body closer to his, both in an act of comfort, and passion. He still found his situation hard to belief. He had experienced so many "firsts" in the past two hours... And now, another one. When he finally broke the kiss, he pushed her hair out of her face and smiled. "No way this is a dream..."
